Easter

Easter! The weekend was so much fun with the kids. On Saturday we got to color eggs together and they both really got into it. They were nothing fancy, but they sure had fun.

On Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny hid their baskets somewhere in the house and Jack and Joey had to come down and search for them. Joey was pretty excited see her basket. Jack had a little bit of a rough start, but once he really woke up and got in a better mood, then he got really excited about what was waiting in his basket too. After they found their baskets, we had homemade cinnamon rolls. Since Jack got the movie Big Hero 6, he wanted to watch it right then. But...since conference was about to start, he had to wait for between sessions and it was probably 2 of the longest hours of Jack's life ;) Throughout the day, Jack was coloring in his Big Hero 6 coloring book and Joey was giving everyone a checkup (and opening her eggs to look at all her candy).

Later in the day, we went outside to have a little Easter egg hunt. It didn't take long, but it was a perfect day to be outside. We had a great weekend and got our sugar fill with all the candy and cinnamon rolls :)

Catching Up

So it has been quite a while since I've been able to get on here and update everything. Starting with Halloween... Jack wanted to be Captain America and Joey was Princess Anna (Frozen). Jack had so much fun cutting his Jack-O-Lantern and they loved trick or treating!

To finish off the soccer season, Jack scored his first and only goal of the season in the last quarter of the last game of the season! To Kyle and I, it was the most exciting few minutes of the season and we were so happy for him. Another kid on the team had to really help out Jack so he could score, but it was such a fun game. Afterwards, we all headed over to Ballpark Pizza for the end of season party. All of the kids had pizza, cupcakes, and candy. And they all were awarded their trophies.

On Dec. 19, Joey turned 2! We were up in Northern CA on that day so we got to meet up with the Bennetts for a special dessert at Fenton's. At home we had a little party and some more cake and ice cream. She was spoiled with princess toys and I handed down my old dollhouse and accessories. She is still having tons of fun with her toys.

Christmas was an exciting time. We each picked out new stockings at Disneyland this year. Jack was really excited for Santa to come this year and was asking almost every day if Santa was coming. On Christmas eve, we decorated cookies and left some out for Santa (and carrots for the reindeer). The next morning, they were both very anxious to open all of their gifts. We all had such a fun day and the kids spent the whole day playing with their new toys.

Just after Christmas, we headed down to the beach for a little bit. It was too cold to get swimsuits on, but it was a great day to go and walk on the sand.

We finally had some new family pics taken this year. It's always difficult taking pics with the kids, but we figured it was time to get it done. We had a few difficult moments with the photographer, but they eventually cooperated and we got some pretty good ones.

At the end of March, we made it to the Riverside Air Show. Jack had been looking forward to this for about a month. There were tons of planes to see and Jack and Kyle even got to go inside one! It was pretty hot so we found a spot in the shade (which was very limited) and watched the planes in the sky. Joey was not really interested in the show, but Jack just couldn't get enough. He loved every minute.

Once again we have Disneyland passes and one day we finally made it over to see the super heroes. Jack loves the Marvel heroes, but he always gets nervous when it comes to seeing any character or hero life size. We saw Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor. Jack said hi to Captain America, but was too nervous to talk to Thor. So Joey have him a high five instead.

With Jack and Joey, our days are always filled with goofy, random things. It's fun to watch them being creative and having fun!
