Bedroom Tour

I thought I would give everyone a little idea of just how crowded our bedroom is now that we have to add another person. In these pictures I am standing in my doorway looking into the room. Yes, there are two dressers squished right next to each other, and what you can't see is that between the tall dresser and the wall with the window, there are two night stands stacked. Then we have the playard where Jack will be sleeping for a while. We have a beautiful crib that I'm dying to put up, but with the limited space in our room and in the house, there just isn't enough room for it. Oh well.

Now we move next to the playard and right into our bed! You may have thought I was kidding when I said it was crowded. With the addition of the playard in our room, we had to move the bed right next to the wall and into the corner of the room.

And the last available space in our room is between the foot of the bed and the closet, which is now taken up by a mini fridge and the lovely diaper pail (I'm so looking forward to having that in our room! Not!) We have everything up and ready for Jack, and now the only thing left to add is the little guy himself. :)

Simple Things

Yesterday I was sitting at home just taking it easy. Listening to some of my favorite music, organizing a few things for baby Jack, last night the family watched Biggest Loser, and then while getting ready for bed I started to watch Toy Story (yes, I still LOVE watching these movies). It was not the most exciting day, but just having a day to relax and not have to worry about anything was nice. It's amazing how some of the simple things like some good music, or a good movie, or even a good chocolate chip cookie can make the day better.

ZZZzzzzz

So on Saturday night, I went to bed just like any other night. Except when hour after hour passed and I was not getting a wink of sleep, I realized that this is probably what I have to look forward to in just a few days. Yes, in only a few days we will have our little baby boy, and I have a feeling that my waking up 5 times in the middle of the night now is just preparation for when I have to get up with little Jack. While I'm not exactly looking forward to getting up who knows how many times with him, I am looking forward to actually getting to lay down comfortably. For all the women who have had children, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. The back aches, being tired of having a giant belly, and just tired of being pregnant. I'm sure it will be quite an adjustment, but let's just hope that he is a good sleeper for mommy!

Morning Times

Every morning our two spoiled little dogs have to come and jump onto our bed, jump into our faces, and lick us to death to make sure that we are awake. After all the excitement, this is what happens... the dogs fall asleep and our bed is just completely taken over.

Catching Up...

So since I am just starting this blog, I thought I'd better catch everyone up on everything that has been going on. On May 15, 2009, Kyle and I got married in the San Diego, California Temple. It was an absolutely perfect day. The Southern California weather was just right, the flowers and cake were amazing, and everyone looked stunning. It was definitely my dream wedding.

Well time has flown by and on May 8 of this year, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University. My degree is in finance so I guess you can say I like numbers. It felt so good to walk across that stage and get the much awaited... diploma holder. No, my actual diploma was not inside, but I did get it the next week. Anyways, I can't believe how fast the last 4 years have gone by. It seems like I just started college. It was so good to have my family there cheering me on. After the ceremony we then went to eat an awesome southern lunch at Dotson's. Just your typical meat and 3, and DELICIOUS banana pudding. Overall it was a fun and exciting day.

This past Saturday, May 15, was our 1 year anniversary! It went by so much faster than I anticipated. It was definitely an adjustment this first year. Living in a crowded house, typical college jobs, full-time school, and part-time work... sounds so glamorous doesn't it. While some things may not have been ideal for our first year, I can still say that it has been great. One year down, eternity to go.

Another exciting event is coming up very soon... Kyle and I are having our first child! We are having a little boy and we are going to name him Jack Maddux Pulido. Even though we are given a hard time because our dog is named Jack also, we are still SO excited. The due date is May 27, but I'm hoping he comes earlier. This past weekend we finally got everything ready for the little guy (and yes, since every room in the house is already taken, he will be staying in our room). It took a lot of moving around furniture and really getting organized, but we now have room for Jack and all of the stuff that comes along with having a baby. Now we just need him to get here.

Well that is a quick rundown of what has happened lately with the Pulido Family. It's been quite a first year, but exciting times are definitely coming...
