Our 3 Year Anniversary-Disneyland!

Yesterday was our 3 year wedding anniversary. Kyle had told me a little while ago that he had a surprise for me for that day, but he wouldn't give me any hints or anything! Well finally on Sunday night, he told me that we were going to Disneyland! I have been wanting to go since we got out here to California, but haven't been able to. I was so excited! This was a triple gift though: our anniversary, my birthday, and Jack's birthday, all in one. But that was fine with me. So yesterday we got up and out the door, and were in the park by about 9:45am. The weather was perfect, there were practically no lines, and we got to do and see everything we wanted.
We did a lot of the kiddie rides for Jack, but I had just as much fun on them. Peter Pan, Dumbo, the carousel... it was neat to be there with Jack and watch him experience all of these rides. We did go and see Mickey Mouse, and Jack didn't really want to get to close to him, but he did alright as long as he was being held by us. I think his favorite thing of the day was the Tiki Room. He loves birds and so singing birds all around him made him really smile. Kyle did a few extra rides like Indiana Jones, Star Tours, and Space Mountain, and Jack and I got to see part of a parade while waiting. Dinner was great at the Rainforest Cafe, and the ice cream in the park for dessert was delicious.
Overall, the day was a complete success! I had so much fun and I loved being there with my family. Thank you Kyle for an amazing surprise!

Puddle Jumpin

Yesterday it was raining pretty much all afternoon and I think throughout the night too. There's a spot in the back of the yard where the water will make a big long puddle after it rains and Jack LOVES to go this spot. As you can tell in these pics, he usually gets gets half of his pants soaked from jumping in the water. Oh well... at least he's havin fun.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
This morning was so much fun. We started the day when Jack woke up at 6:30 and we went downstairs to relax. A little bit later we came back up to Jack's bedroom and there it was! The Easter bunny had left him a little surprise! Jack had a basket full of candy and a soccer ball. At the park Jack actually does pretty good at kicking the ball down the grass field. So what a perfect gift for him. Oh, the Easter bunny didn't forget to leave a few little treats for mom and dad too ;)
After seeing what the easter bunny left for everyone, we all went downstairs and had waffles with chocolate chips. Yum!
When breakfast was over, Jack got dressed and went out to the front yard for a mini easter egg hunt. He actually did really good at putting all the eggs in his basket. He had to have dad hold his basket near the end, but at least he got all of them.
Once all of the Easter excitement was over, Jack went down for a nap and we all got ready for church. Of course there were more treats for Jack from his sweet nursery leaders.
The whole day was really good and Jack was in a good mood (thank goodness!). I know I certainly had a good Easter and I hope everyone else did too.

This is really from a few days ago, but Jack learned to dance with his hands on his knees. I don't know how he learned that, but it's pretty funny.
He loves to be outside and now that it's getting warm, we are outside a lot!
A couple weeks ago Jack had some pics taken at the park. It was supposed to be Easter themed pics, but he didn't really want to cooperate since the park was right there in sight. Oh well. We still got some good pics.

Newport Beach Temple

This weekend we had a fun time as a family. To start it off, Kyle learned how to clean the brakes on my car. We thought we would have to replace them, but turns out they just needed a good cleaning. And Kyle did it! Good job. Next up, we went up to the Newport Beach Temple. We brought Jack with us so we had to switch off. With the water fountains right there, Jack didn't want to do anything but stick his hands in and get a little wet. It was a struggle trying to get him to sit and eat some lunch, but he finally ate and then went right back to the water. After we were both done in the temple, we headed down to the Irvine Spectrum. We got a little treat at the Corner Bakery and then went and looked for some new shirts for Jack. He's bout grown out of all his clothes so we really needed to get him some new stuff for Summer. We weren't at the Spectrum real long, but it was fun to spend some time all together on a beautiful day! The night ended with a good dinner and watching a movie. I love days like this!

San Diego Temple

This weekend we went down to the San Diego Temple. Kyle and I had to switch off going in since we had Jack with us. It was beautiful, clear skies while we were there and it was perfect for a few pictures. Jack was being a curious, energetic boy, and I was trying to make sure he didn't kill all of the flowers on the grounds. He had a little ball with him and threw it so far into a flower bed that there was no way I was going to climb in and get it with my skirt and high heels on. So...we had to wait for Kyle to come out and get it. He was actually pretty good for the most part, but it was a long day of driving and he was so ready to get out of the car when we got home.

Frogg's Bounce House

This past Saturday the 3 of us went to a place called Frogg's Bounce House. Jack loves to jump on the trampoline and so this place looked like something he would enjoy. We went in and he was a little hesitant at first, but then after a minute, he had tons of fun!

After we went to the bounce house, we took a little drive while Jack took a nap. We sat by the beach for a little bit and it was a beautiful, clear day. It was such a fun day and I love spending days like this with my family!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Some say that Valentine's Day is just a Hallmark Holiday... pish posh. Me... I don't care if it's just a made up holiday. I still think it's a fun day to show your love for your family and friends and do a little something extra for them.
I love my sweet husband, Kyle. Thank you for all the things you do for me. Whether it's doing dishes, laundry, or giving me a break from diaper duty, I appreciate it. You work so hard each day and just know that it doesn't go unnoticed.
I love my little boy, Jack. I love your sweet hugs and kisses and I have so much fun with you every day. I'm so thankful you are here in my life and I am thankful to be your mother.
I love my parents and my sister and my 2 little nephews. Thank you for all that you have done for me and my little family. I love spending time and going to do activities with you. I miss you and love you.
I love my friends. Thank you for all the good times we have together. Good friends have made a difference in my life and I want you to know I appreciate the kindness and love that has been shown to me.
Happy Valentine's Day!
